Movie Synopsis, Movie Poster, Artist & more

The Godfather 50th Anniversary "Chess" style art print is a limited edition exclusive for AMC Theatres, officially licensed by Paramount Studios, limited to 1,000 uniquely numbered movie posters. Movie Posters Australia acquired this directly from Paramount Studios in Los Angeles on a recent buying trip. The bold artwork represents the strategic moves made by the Corleone family in the iconic film as well as the role a literal horse plays in those moves.

Limited to 1,000 pieces. Each print is hand-numbered: "442/1000". This movie poster measures 18" x 24" and printed on 100 lb French Paper Co. Kraft-Tone Index Off-White paper making it thicker, similar to a US Insert or Lobby Card. Created by DKNG Studios and officially licensed by Paramount Pictures exclusively for AMC Theatres.

The Godfather is a film classic directed by Francis Ford Coppola, based on Mario Puzo's novel of the same name. The movie boasts an incredible ensemble cast, including Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, Richard Castellano, Robert Duvall, Sterling Hayden, John Marley, Richard Conte, and Diane Keaton. It's widely regarded as one of the greatest films in cinematic history, known for its compelling storytelling, memorable characters, and powerful performances. The film primarily follows the Corleone family, led by patriarch Vito Corleone, and focuses on the transformation of his son Michael (Al Pacino) from a reluctant outsider to a ruthless mafia leader.

FAQ

Who is Movie Posters Australia?

At Movie Posters Australia, the love and conservation of movie posters comes first, and we like to share this passion. Our commitment to quality means we will provide high quality memorabilia to our customers. Posters are carefully chosen and authenticated to ensure originality and value. We want our customers to trust MPA, so we always try to be as open and transparent as we can, provide detailed condition information and images, to ensure customers are comfortable and confident in their purchase.

What do your condition ratings mean?

While the industry does have a few condition rating standards, there is no movie poster condition rating system that has become the accepted standard world wide. This unfortunately makes condition terms vary from movie poster dealer to movie poster dealer. Terms like Mint, Near Mint, Very Fine, Fine, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor, seem to be universal to most condition rating standards, but most standards still lack definition about what and how many flaws/defects/damage defines a specific condition level. For more information on how Movie Posters Australia grades the condition of its movie posters, daybills, lobby cards and other ephemera please see out Movie Poster Condition and Grading page.
