Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition it was dispatched and in its original packaging and shipping materials. Damage caused freight handlers may be covered by your insurance option if purchased. Please be aware that any wear, marks or damage caused by you after receipt, unpacking, or re-packing, may be subject to a restocking fee. Please note, that to obtain a full refund for the purchase price, the items must be returned in the same condition that they are dispatched.

To start a return, you need to contact us at mpa@moviepostersaustralia.com with a reason for wanting to return your purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Movie Posters Australia goes to extreme lengths to ensure that posters, and movie ephemera, are carefully and safely packed for the unpredictable handling of freight carriers. But sometimes the handling by freight carriers can be more than our careful packaging can endure. This is why we always offer full insurance for the value of your purchase as an option. If you do not purchase this option we unfortunately cannot be responsible for damage caused by a freight carrier, or accept the item for a return and refund. Please inspect your order upon arrival and contact us immediately if the item is damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and help make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like special orders, personalized items, sales items or gift cards. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel prior to shipping, or cancel and return your order after shipping, within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that it was dispatched, unused, and in its original packaging and shipping materials. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and show the refund on your account.
