Movie Synopsis, Movie Poster, Artist & more

Seven (often stylized as Se7en) is a 1995 American crime thriller film directed by David Fincher and written by Andrew Kevin Walker. The film stars Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman, Gwyneth Paltrow, and John C. McGinley. It is set in an unnamed, crime-ridden city where the narrative follows the disenchanted, nearly retired detective William Somerset (played by Freeman) and his newly transferred partner David Mills (played by Pitt). Together, they attempt to stop a serial killer from executing a series of murders based on the seven deadly sins.

The film's narrative is driven by the pursuit of the elusive and sadistic serial killer, who meticulously plans and executes murders that correspond to each of the seven deadly sins: gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, pride, lust, and envy. As Somerset and Mills investigate the gruesome crimes, they uncover disturbing truths about the nature of evil and the darkness that lurks within humanity.

The movie poster for Seven is an iconic and memorable image that uses gritty, disfunctional colors and stark typography effectively conveys the film's themes of darkness, moral ambiguity, and psychological tension.

What do your condition ratings mean?

While the industry does have a few condition rating standards, there is no movie poster condition rating system that has become the accepted standard world wide. This unfortunately makes condition terms vary from movie poster dealer to movie poster dealer. Terms like Mint, Near Mint, Very Fine, Fine, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor, seem to be universal to most condition rating standards, but most standards still lack definition about what and how many flaws/defects/damage defines a specific condition level. For more information on how Movie Posters Australia grades the condition of its movie posters, daybills, lobby cards and other ephemera please see out Movie Poster Condition and Grading page.
