Movie Synopsis, Movie Poster, Artist & more

Revolt of the Zombies (1936) is a horror film directed by Victor Halperin, known for his work in early horror cinema. The movie stars Dean Jagger, Dorothy Stone, and Roy D'Arcy in lead roles. The story revolves around an evil magician who discovers the secret of creating zombies and plans to use them for his own sinister purposes. Dean Jagger plays the protagonist tasked with stopping the magician's nefarious plans.

Filming for Revolt of the Zombies began in the mid-1930s, capitalizing on the popularity of horror films during that era. The movie is notable for its atmospheric cinematography and eerie special effects, typical of early horror cinema.

This dramatic R'47 US One Sheet poster is a fine example of the genre. It is Tri folded and will be posted folded.

Condition

Minor edgewear on both sides, small minor tears (less than 5mm) on the right hand side, left hand side has a small piece missing 2mm at fold edge (see pics for more details), some fold browning on back. All imperfections could easily restored should you decide to linen back and professionally frame. Poster is conservatively Very Fine condition, colours are bright, and given the age this is a rare find.

FAQ

Who is Movie Posters Australia?

At Movie Posters Australia, the love and conservation of movie posters comes first, and we like to share this passion. Our commitment to quality means we will provide high quality memorabilia to our customers. Posters are carefully chosen and authenticated to ensure originality and value. We want our customers to trust MPA, so we always try to be as open and transparent as we can, provide detailed condition information and images, to ensure customers are comfortable and confident in their purchase.

What do your condition ratings mean?

While the industry does have a few condition rating standards, there is no movie poster condition rating system that has become the accepted standard world wide. This unfortunately makes condition terms vary from movie poster dealer to movie poster dealer. Terms like Mint, Near Mint, Very Fine, Fine, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor, seem to be universal to most condition rating standards, but most standards still lack definition about what and how many flaws/defects/damage defines a specific condition level. For more information on how Movie Posters Australia grades the condition of its movie posters, daybills, lobby cards and other ephemera please see out Movie Poster Condition and Grading page.
