The movie is a charming early musical, a follow-up to Fox Movietone Follies of 1929, stars El Brendel, known for his vaudeville routine as a Swedish immigrant. After brief stint in Hollywood, that included appearing in the Academy Award-winning Wings, he returned to the stage, but it wasn't long before he was lured back to Hollywood by Fox, where his star immediately rose. Joining Brendel is Marjorie White, who would star with him in the science-fiction musical-comedy Just Imagine the same year. The film also featured over fifty Fox stars and chorus girls, including Janet Gaynor, Edmund Lowe, and, in an uncredited early appearance, Betty Grable. The film notably experimented with early color process, with several sequences filmed in Multicolor.

Movie Synopsis: Rich young Conrad Sterling (William Collier Jr.) is in love with struggling actress Mary Mason (Miriam Seeger). To prove his love, he hires Mary and the entire company of the show in which she is appearing to entertain his weekend guests at his lavish mansion. Below is an picture from the Movie. At one stage it was thought to have been lost or missing until UCLA Film and Television Archive found and preserved this iconic movie.

FAQ

Who is Movie Posters Australia?

At Movie Posters Australia, the love and conservation of movie posters comes first, and we like to share this passion. Our commitment to quality means we will provide high quality memorabilia to our customers. Posters are carefully chosen and authenticated to ensure originality and value. We want our customers to trust MPA, so we always try to be as open and transparent as we can, provide detailed condition information and images, to ensure customers are comfortable and confident in their purchase.

What do your condition ratings mean?

While the industry does have a few condition rating standards, there is no movie poster condition rating system that has become the accepted standard world wide. This unfortunately makes condition terms vary from movie poster dealer to movie poster dealer. Terms like Mint, Near Mint, Very Fine, Fine, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor, seem to be universal to most condition rating standards, but most standards still lack definition about what and how many flaws/defects/damage defines a specific condition level. For more information on how Movie Posters Australia grades the condition of its movie posters, daybills, lobby cards and other ephemera please see out Movie Poster Condition and Grading page.
